The Luxury Room was spacious and beautifully designed, with complimentary cookies that added a sweet touch. The warmth and attention from the staff. Plus, the location was perfect for exploring Dunedin's vibrant downtown area.
No significant issues .

Generally very happy with our stay. It was clean, staff were friendly (including retrieving my wandering father in law who has alzheimers) and it was handy to family. Our breakfast we ordered to our room was somewhat minimal though but staff tried to rectify that issue. It was hard with stairs leading to the lifts as we had our elderly parents but that was a minor issue which is out of your control. We felt the amount we paid was very fair and we enjoyed our dinner in your restaurant (even though it was a little slow).

Cute place, looks the part.
rooms not very sound proof could hear neighbours and room above. Poor lighting for putting on make up etc.

The stay was mostly enjoyable, especially with the spacious luxury room and the warm atmosphere complemented by complimentary cookies. The location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions, and the contemporary design of the room added to the overall experience. Some noise from the street at night was a bit of a downside, and the limited coffee options at breakfast were a bit frustrating.

tidy, comfortable, reliable, shame about the idiots outside that kept me awake, but no issues with the hotel.

Not much - this is one of those hotels that don't perk your interest when you revisit the city.
The physical structure of the hotel is quite different. Things are quite compact and there is not much space in the rooms (even though I did have two beds) or hotel. I guess the type of building has impacted upon the dimension of certain rooms. This sort of hotel appeals to two types of people: those who like quirky, and those who don't. I don't like quirky.

More pros than cons, but still.
Fantastic location near The Octagon. The restaurant on-site, The Press Club, serves really good food and cocktails, complemented by attentive staff.
Small room made navigating with luggage tricky.

Quiet location. Clean & tidy room. Nice restaurant to breakfast in the following morning.
Lack of carparking at the actual hotel made it slightly difficult for me to transport my gear to and from hotel, and also left me slightly worried about leaving my car parked on side street in unfamiliar area.

Loved the place, had a very comfortable stay for 2 nights. We ate in the excellent restaurant for dinner which was reasonably priced. It had a large bathroom and a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a mini bar fridge and coffee/tea making equipment. The location was good, relatively near an eight-sided plaza. There were a supermarket and a convenience store around the hotel.

The location was particularly good, next door to a prominent church. Supermarkets and a convenience shop were right next door. I loved the room, it was comfortable modern and good standard and included with a very comfortable bed and separate bedroom plus heating👌🙂
